Flowgoods

Privacy Policy

Effective 3 July 2026

This page explains what data Flowgoods collects, why, and what we do with it. Short version: we collect what is needed to run the service, we never sell it, and your business data belongs to you.

What we collect

  • Account details: your email, name and company name if you provide them, and an avatar if you upload one.
  • Your business data: the sheets, products, prices, quotes and buyer contact details you put into the app. This data is yours; we process it only to show it back to you and to the people you share it with.
  • Billing: payments are handled by Stripe. Your card number never touches our servers. We store your subscription status, plan, and any promotion code you used.
  • Technical data: basic logs and error reports (via Sentry) so we can fix crashes, and preferences (like theme and hidden hints) stored in your browser.
  • Waitlist: if you joined the waitlist on our marketing site, we store the email you gave us and use it only to tell you about Flowgoods.

What we never do

  • Sell or rent your data to anyone.
  • Use your business data to train AI models.
  • Read your sheets except to fix a problem you asked us about.
  • Send marketing to your buyers. Your contacts are yours.

Who processes data for us

Flowgoods runs on well-known infrastructure providers, each bound by their own data-processing agreements:

  • Supabase: database, authentication and file storage.
  • Vercel: application hosting.
  • Stripe: payments and subscription management.
  • Sentry: error monitoring.
  • Cloudflare: domain, DNS and email routing.

Because these providers operate globally, your data may be stored or processed outside your country, protected by the safeguards in our agreements with them.

Cookies and local storage

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in and browser storage for preferences (theme, sidebar state, hints). No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics cookies.

Retention and deletion

  • Sheets you move to the Trash are recoverable for 30 days, then permanently deleted.
  • Deleting your account removes your data from the live database. Residual copies in encrypted backups expire on the backup rotation schedule.
  • Billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.

Your rights

You can export your data yourself at any time (CSV and Excel export are built in). Email us to request a copy of everything we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete your account and its data. If you are in a jurisdiction with statutory privacy rights (like the UK or EU GDPR, or similar laws elsewhere), those rights apply and we honour them.

Changes

If this policy changes in any meaningful way we will email the address on your account before the change takes effect.
